Holocaust Documentation Center in Moravia
The project seeks an architectural response to the still alive theme of the Holocaust.
The proposed structure will not appear foreign or aggressive through formal games, but on the contrary will accentuate connectedness through its openness and connection with the place. Thanks to its form, the building is passable and passable, it has no main entrance or exit, thanks to the extension of the mouse hole and its outlet in the center of the building, we achieve a direct involvement of urban vitality in the structure.
The structure serves as a framework for events taking place in the building, it enables the expansion of individual programs or their merging. Voxels with a size of 5x5x5 meters provide enough space for any programs. By its design, the structure also allows for future expansion.
The project won the XXII. Bohuslav Fuchs Award.
