Interior of the central study room of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Palacký University in Olomouc

After the reconstruction, the study room has been reorganized in such a way as to enable undisturbed work by pairs of students as well as groups of eight. The space is divided by rounded screens, the surface of which consists of virgin cork oak bark. Screens divide the space and fulfill acoustic properties at the same time. Their inner part is also made of cork. Its use is very ecological because cork bark normally grows back on trees. Students can use the inside as a bulletin board and pin materials and information to it.

The new furniture of the modernized study room is made of solid oak and gives an elegant impression. The studio is also equipped with bean bags in green and yellow, which enhance the relaxed atmosphere.
