Modernity and the Holocaust

The topic of this thesis refers to the book of the same name by the Polish sociologist Zygmunt Bauman. In this book, Zykmund Bauman analyzes the relationship between modernist thinking and the Holocaust from a sociological perspective. In my diploma thesis I deal with the design of the Documentation Center, for which a closed architectural competition was announced in Brno. The topic is a continuation of the previous project, in which we analyzed mainly Bauman's work. These analyzes helped us to continue designing the center with a completely new perspective of thinking not only about the society, but also the architecture itself.
