Best Bachelor theses 2024

The jury evaluating the best Bachelor theses consisted of architecture critic and long-time editor of Art & Antiques magazine Karolína Jirkalová, architecture historian and researcher at the Art History department of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic Vendula Hnídková, and the founder of the Brno-based The Büro studio Jan Vrbka. The jury convened on 4 June 2024 in the Faculty of Architecture’s drawing room and evaluated 70 submitted final works.

The jury decided to acclaim three projects it deemed exceptional for their innovative approach, the complexity of the final proposal and their capacity to address difficult issues and typologies. Each of the projects excelled in a different field, which led to the ultimate decision to award three equally prestigious
prizes.

Best Master theses 2024

The jury which evaluated the best Master graduate works comprised architect Marcela Steinbachová (KRUH association, the World Architecture Day, and the Film and Architecture festival), architecture historian and curator of the Prague National Gallery architecture collection Helena Huber-Doudová and architect Jaroslav Wertig (co-founder of the A69 studio). The jury convened on 23 May 2024 at the Faculty of Architecture of the Brno Technical University and evaluated over sixty final projects.
